My mother agrees with the statement "
I was good at math, so it makes sense my child is too!". The reason why they agree with that statement is because my mother knew spanish better then english when she was child. So she learned how to deal with numbers. As soon as she saw problems nd her teacher told her what to do she caught on quick. My mother understood english but had trouble writing it and always had an accent talking it. That is why i believe that i have the math genes.
Interesting. However, there is no math gene! Dr. Keith J. Devlin is the author of The Math Gene: How Mathematical Thinking Evolved and Why Numbers Are Like Gossip and in his book, he contends this theory is not true after conducting modern research to prove that we all have the ability to do math!
